Since July 1, sale of beer with more than 5 % of alcohol is banned Since July 1, 2012 the sale of beer and beer drinks with more than five percent of ethyl spirit content in child-care, educational, medical organisations, culture establishments, sports centres and in the territories adjoining to them is banned in Russia. Besides, all kinds of public transport, bus stops, petrol-filling stations, and also displaceable retail facilities, areas of heavy pedestrian traffic and location of sources of increased danger defined by public authorities of subjects RF come within the purview of the Federal law No. 218.
For example, only in Ufa about 350 displaceable retail facilities located at stopping pavilions fall within this ban to sell beer and beer drinks. Since January 1, 2013 this list will be supplemented with 500 more displaceable retail facilities.
For retail sale of beer and beer drinks organisations and individual businessmen should have in their property, operating control or in rent permanent-type retail facilities and warehouses, and also cash register equipment.
